For Unily's flagship Unite 2023 event, we crafted a suite of event motion graphics, including dynamic backgrounds and introduction screens. Working with Cardiff based agency John & Jane, our work integrated with the event's unique visual identity, which blended elements of the Unily logo with the London skyline. We focused on creating subtle, engaging animations that enhanced the overall experience without distracting from the key content, embodying the spirit of collaboration and innovation central to Unily's global gathering.

Objectives
Unily's Unite 2023 event served as a crucial platform to underscore the company's commitment to innovation and collaboration. Bringing together teams from across the globe, the two-day agenda aimed to facilitate the sharing of insights and best practices through keynote presentations, interactive workshops, and panel discussions. A key goal was to create a strong sense of community and partnership amongst attendees, allowing them to explore the latest advancements in digital workplace solutions. Our objective was to create event motion graphics – specifically a series of backgrounds and introduction screens – that would visually enhance this experience. The challenge was to support the event's identity, which merged patterns from the Unily logo's circle and the iconic London skyline, ensuring the animations amplified the professional yet engaging atmosphere.
We brought the event identity to life with playfully animated shapes, creating kinetic visuals to carry the eye through the motion graphics.
The way they move, disappear and reappear is in the spirit of collaboration and they represent the audience moving around the event.
Our Process
Our approach to animating the screens for Unily Unite 2023 was centred around the principle of subtle enhancement. The core idea was to complement the event's visual identity without ever detracting from the speakers or crucial content. We designed the motion graphics to blend seamlessly into the background, employing gentle, non-intrusive motion to elevate the overall aesthetic, but we allowed a little more energy when introducing speakers to create a buzz..
